1. Dr. Borgstrand is BOTH a Wyoming licensed doctor of chiropractic (DC) and a licensed acupuncturist (LAc).

2. In Wyoming a medical doctor (MD), osteopath (DO), or chiropractor (DC) can practice acupuncture without an acupuncture license.

3. However there is minimal or no training and no competency testing required for a MD, DO, or DC to do acupuncture in Wyoming. Medical doctors, osteopaths, and chiropractors practicing acupuncture in Wyoming do so with little training and no state or nationally recognized competency testing.

4. Dr. Borgstrand is a chiropractor (DC) but he is also a licensed acupuncturist (LAc). He has completed the education requirements and passed the Acupuncture National Board Tests. Dr. Borgstrand is licensed to practice acupuncture in Utah, Alaska, Idaho, Colorado and Montana.

5. Physical therapists (PT) in Wyoming can use acupuncture needles for what is called "dry needling." A PT may do this in Wyoming with as little as 12 hours of training that does not include any supervised clinical practice or competency testing.
